Protecting your privacy is important to The Ontario Lung Association (OLA). The following policy provides information on how The Ontario Lung Association collects, uses, and safeguards the personal information you provide on our Web site. Information collection
When you browse the OLA Web site, you do so anonymously. We do not collect personal information, including your e-mail address. The OLA is a member of the Canadian Marketing Association, the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy, and the Association of fundraising Professionals. We adhere to the privacy guidelines of these organizations.

At times we may request that you voluntarily supply us with personal information, such as your e-mail address and postal address, for purposes such as corresponding with us, registering at our site, making a donation, entering a contest, or participating in an online survey. However, when at all possible, an option to remain anonymous will be provided to those who wish to preserve their right to anonymity.

For reasons of security, credit card information is not stored permanently on the Web server. We will retain your order information for our records, but this information is never shared with unaffiliated third parties without prior consent. Information use
When you supply the OLA with your personal information we may use it:

to guide the development of new features and services relevant to web users
to contact you by e-mail or direct mail about future events or promotions offered by the OLA

To help us find new supporters, we sometimes trade our mailing lists with other progressive and like-minded charities. By agreeing to exchange the information that you voluntarily supply us, you help us to gain new potential supporter names and thus new support for our non-profit programs and initiatives. However, personally identifiable information of users will not be sold to unaffiliated third parties without the user's prior consent.
