Asthma Seminar

6:30 pm - 9:45 p.m.
(Registration begins at 6:00 p.m.)

The Asthma Seminar is our annual workshop that provides valuable information to adults who have asthma, parents of asthmatic children and care givers and others directly or indirectly affected by asthma. Physicians and other professionals will present informative topics regarding:

A General Overview of Asthma and Asthma Triggers
The Lung Association's new Asthma Action Program
Pediatric Treatment of Asthma
Second Hand Smoke in the Home
Asthma Medications and Using Asthma Devices
Exercise Induced Asthma (What causes it and how to treat it)

While attending our workshops, you can visit exhibits from local home health care companies and pharmaceutical companies who will be displaying their latest medications, services and products available for people with asthma. Come and learn about the resources available right in your own community!

Pull for Kids

New Sudbury Shopping Centre parking lot

Teams are already lining up to participate in the 2nd Annual Pull for Kids! The event will once again take place at the New Sudbury Shopping Centre parking lot, on May 10th.

Registration begins in January 2003. Teams of 10-12 will pull
13-ton Pumper Trucks, courtesy of the City of Greater Sudbury's Emergency Services Department.
