Pull For Kids

Join your team-mates and The Lung Association for a fun-filled, tug-of-war type competition to help children with asthma. You can make a difference in the life of a child with asthma!

Pull for Kids involves teams of 10 Men or 12 Women or Mixed (with a minimum of 3 men or women on the team) competing against the clock to pull a Fire Truck over a pre-determined distance using a tug-of-war type rope.

Required from each team is a registration fee of $100 and a minimum of $100 in pledges from each individual team member.

There are a host of additional on site activities including a BBQ, Kids "Mini Pull" competition, Opening Ceremony, team photos, an Asthma Action education booth and more.

1/2 Marathon, 5K Run/Walk & 1K Kid Trot
Sunday, June 8, 2003
North Bay Waterfront, Marathon Beach

All events start and finish at the Waterfront, Sunday, June 8, 2003. Start times 1/2 Marathon-8:00 a.m. sharp, 5K Run and Walk 8:20 a.m., and 1K Kids trot approx. 8:45 a.m.

Finish line and timing by Sportstats, water stops every 3 km, post race refreshments, t shirts for all participants (1K excluded) and prizes, pick from prize table for top 3 finishers, over all and for each age group Male and Female, no duplication prizes.

Races and Registration Costs: 1/2 Marathon: $30.00 before and $40.00 on race day; 5K Run/Walk: $20.00 before and $30.00 on race day; 1K: free to all children under 12 years.; Law Enforcement Run: 1/2 Marathon/ 5K Run/Walk Fees as above.; Form a Team: 1/2 Marathon- 5K events, Minimum 3 runners per team, Members pay appropriate race fee.; 1/2 Marathon 2-member Relay (5K fee X2)

You can help us boost our fund raising efforts by collecting pledges. Donations are also accepted, official receipts issued for donations of $10.00 and over. All money raised helps us raise funds to support The Lung Association medical research and community health programs.
