What is the Breath of Hope Relay?
The OPG Breath of Hope Relay is a non-competitive 7 hour, fundraising event. Individual, corporate teams and school teams take turns walking, running or strolling on a track to remember those who have lost their battle or who are still fighting lung cancer and lung disease. Multiple tracks allow for both walkers/strollers and those who choose to run and a comprehensive wellness program allows participants to learn about ways to maintain their lung health. A highlight of the OPG Breath of Hope Relay event is the Luminary Ceremony dedicated to people who are struggling with lung disease or those loved ones who have passed away.

We hope to raise over $225,000 at our 2003 Skydome event to support The Lung Association's vital lung health programs: Asthma Action Helpline, BreathWorks for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), C.A.N. DO The Movement for Clean Air Now, The Youth Tobacco Team and tobacco cessation programs.

2003 OPG Breath of Hope Relays

Due to public health concerns around Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), we have decided to postpone the Breath of Hope Relay event scheduled for Friday, April 4 at Toronto's SkyDome.
